It all started in the Moroccan Atlas mountains where Berbers have been living for more than 5000 years. To protect themselves from the icy cold of this mountainous region, the Berber women of the different tribes have for more than 1000 years woven by hand and knotted carpets made of natural wool and cotton.
Weaving for these women artists is a way to express their amazing creativity through sober or warm colors, geometric lines, and tribal symbols. Therefore, each carpet is a unique piece of its kind according to the inspirations of the weaver, the environment in which she lives, as well as her story most often referring to nature, fertility, womanhood, and spirituality.

• Every piece you take is unique, one of a kind and will be delicately hand washed and dried in the sun before shipping.
